York City Wall Walk

Opening times: The City Wall access gates are opened daily at 8am and closed at dusk.

​

Distance: The walk is two miles long and takes around two hours.

​

Wheelchair/Pram friendly: No section on top of the Walls is suitable for wheelchairs/prams. There are many sections where there are no railings on one side of the walk.  Young children should be supervised at all times.

​

Additional activities:  If you have a smartphone or a tablet look out for the small A6 size QR cards which can be found at strategic wall-walk access places around the York City Walls Trail.

Parking and any fees: Fee paying parking can be found within the City Walls.
