Opening times: The Council website lists the opening times as 12noon to 5pm in the winter months and 12noon to 8pm in the summer months. However the park is accessible outside these times.
Detail: The park is close to Brighouse town centre and is famous for its floral bedding displays. There are woods at the back of the park for exploring and there is a circular path around the park. A stream also runs through the park and is perfect for paddling during the warmer months.
Wheelchair/Pram friendly: The paths around the park are entirely wheel friendly but the paths into the woods are steep and unsurfaced.
Additional activities: There is a play area, which is divided into two sections, with equipment for both young and older children. It also houses a double web net that stands at over 6m high. There is a skate park (take young children early in the day) and a fantastic circular track for bike riding etc. There’s also crazy golf for a fee and an outdoor gym. On Sundays, the park holds a Junior Parkrun at 9am, which is free.
Parking and any fees: Free parking is found in Tesco if you are shopping or, alternatively, on the other side of the park off Thornhill Beck Lane.
Facilities and refreshment options: There are picnic benches located on the Thornhill Beck Lane side of the park. There is also a little cafe by the main road entrance, which serves drinks and food. Alternatively, there is a cafe and toilets in Tesco, which is situated just next to the park. Further options are also available in Brighouse Centre, as well as public toilets.
