Tatton Park

Address: Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 6QN

Getting there: Knutsford Railway Station is situated half a mile from the Knutsford Entrance to Tatton Park. It is a further two mile walk down the estate drive to the Mansion and Stableyard area where the Garden entrance is located. Local bus services are available to Knutsford including the number 27 from Macclesfield, 88 from Altrincham via Wilmslow and 289 from Northwich to Altrincham.

Opening times: The park is open daily from 10am. until 7pm. The mansion and farm are generally shut on Mondays, save for Bank Holiday Mondays. See tattonpark.org.uk/visit/opening-times.aspx for more specific details on attraction opening times.  

 

Distance: There are over 1,000 acres of parkland to explore which are home to red and fallow deer. Nature trail leaflets can be purchased at the shop for 50p and detail a one hour walk, with an additional trail of 30 minutes, suitable for families. 

Wheelchair/Pram friendly: Large parts of the park are wheelchair and pram friendly - see tattonpark.org.uk/visit/access_for_all.aspx for further detail.

Additional activities: There is a mansion, farm and and gardens, which are all accessible at a fee for each (£7 per adult and £5 for children over 4) or a discounted fee for all three (£13 for adults and £7 for children over 4). Horse riding, fishing and sailing can also be arranged at a fee. There is also an adventure park and bird hide at no extra cost.

Parking and any fees: Parking is available inside the Knutsford Entrance of Tatton Park and at the Old Hall with the main parking area near Tatton Park's Mansion and Stableyard area. The fee is £7 for parking. 

Facilities and refreshment options: Food is served at the Stables and the Gardener's Cottage. There is also a tuck shop and store selling food items. There are picnic benches around the park and a designated barbecue area. Toilets are situated around the park and their location can be viewed on the map link.
