Ryburn Valley Greenway

Address: To start the trail, head out of Sowerby Bridge towards Ripponden. You will see a Shell petrol station (HX6 3BL) on the left, after approximately half a mile. Turn left immediately after the petrol station, where you will find the start of the trail.

Opening times: All the time

Admission: Free

Detail: The trail is just over 3 miles long (one-way) and follows the Ryburn Valley; largely along the route of the old railway line between Sowerby Bridge and Ripponden. You can exit the trail at Triangle (by Triangle Cricket Club), Kebroyd (by Kebroyd Petrol Station) and Ripponden (on Hanging Stones Lane). The path is largely flat, although muddy in parts and takes you past woodland and under old railway bridges.

Wheelchair/Pram friendly: The path is not wheel friendly due to narrow stiles and mud. Small children may also struggle.

Parking and any fees:  Parking is available along Rochdale Road by the Shell garage.

Facilities and refreshment options: There are no toilets on route but there are a number of refreshment options in Sowerby Bridge and Ripponden.
