Rivelin Valley Nature Trail

Address: Rails Road, Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Getting there: By tram take the blue route to Matlin Bridge. By bus take the 62/61 to Matlin Bridge or Stannington. The 273, 274 and 275 buses will take you to the far end of Rivelin Valley.

Opening times: TBC

Distance: 4.7 miles of mostly flat walking past remains of 20 watermills and 21 mill dams The trail can be started at either end and follows the river. 

Wheelchair/Pram friendly: TBC

Additional activities: The Rivelin Park Cafe has paddling pools for water play in Summer. There is also a children's playground.  

Parking and any fees: There are car parks at Rails Road, Rivelin Park Cafe (Sat Nav S6 5GL) and Havelock Dam. 

Facilities and refreshment options:  The Rivelin Park Cafe is situated nearby and has indoor and outdoor seating . There are also toilets with disabled facilities. There is also a picnic area by the Rails Road car park. See walk link for positioning of facilities along the trail.
