Detail: The park, castle and museum were historically the home of a millionaire textile merchant in the Victorian times but the site has since been given to the public to enjoy.
Wheelchair/Pram friendly: There are lots of wheel-friendly paths around the park.
Additional activities: Around the grounds are marble fountains, a pond, ornamental Victorian rockwork, glasshouses and terraces, as well as a children's play area. There is also an aviary, small animal house and Cliffe Castle Museum itself to explore.
Parking and any fees: Free parking is available in the car park at the back of the park. Entry is also free.
Facilities and refreshment options: Cliffe Castle's Pavilion Café, situated in a Glass House, is open for customers between 10am - 4pm Tuesday to Sunday. Toilets are situated next to the café, which include a disabled toilet and baby changing. Picnic benches are situated next to the playground and offer great views.
