Bolton Abbey

Opening times: Open every day from 9am to 4pm. The shops and cafes are closed on Christmas Day. The out gate shuts at 6pm.

Distance: The green trail is a 1.6 mile pram friendly walk from the Cavendish Pavillion up to the Strid. You then head back again, so the walk is 3.2 miles in total and takes approximately two hours. There are lots of other walks around Bolton Abbey to enjoy for kids of all ages to include some stepping stones. 

​

Wheelchair/Pram friendly: Yes along the green trail.

​

Additional activities: The Centre often organises child friendly events in the school holidays for a small fee. 

​

Parking and any fees: Car parking is £10 for the day but there are no further fees into the site. 

​

Facilities and refreshment options: There are toilets and a cafe at the Pavillion.. There is also sometimes a refreshment van at the other end of the trail.
